How to Mermaid Braid (self)

Hey guys,
Today's tutorial is this beautiful mermaid braid!
I love this hairstyle because its so quick and easy. To tell you the truth, this is just a normal French braid but how you add sections to the strands is slightly different. Watch the video below!

How to recreate it:
Start by grabbing a small section above your left ear, a small section above your right ear and a section from the middle of your head.
These three strands will be the basis of the French braid.
Begin to French braid by crossing the left strand over the middle and the right strand over the middle.
When it is time to add hair, grab a chunk from as far away as possible and repeat that pattern until you get to the nape of your neck.

*I want the braid to sit over my right shoulder so I am slowly angling the braid that way*

Pull all your hair to one side (mine being the right) and continue to add sections as you braid.
Make sure you take even sections and leave enough hair to reach to the bottom.
Once you finish with all the hair, braid any remaining hair and tie the hairstyle off with an elastic.

You're done!
For finishing touches, pull on the sides of the braid and the pieces you've added in to create a fuller look!

Thankyou so much for reading/watching this tutorial. I hope you guys enjoy this hairstyle and let me know in the comments below or on YouTube!
